Here’s the latest on this week’s green related events and happenings here in the Ville!!!
Tuesday leads off with another pair of Clearing the Air Seminars. The 11:30 am edition is about Commerical Energy Efficiency with Louisville Gas and Electric having a guest presenter. The 5:30 pm time will have Residential Energy Efficiency. Both meetings are at the Air Pollution Control Board Room at 850 Barret Avenue.
At 6:00 on the same night, bike riders are encouraged to shop along the historic Frankfort Avenue for Two Wheel Tuesdays. Food and drink specials are avaible to the riders at several restuatrants and coffee shops along the road. This is a good way to save the air and save a few bucks at the same time.
On Saturday, save waste and landfill garbage related to food by coming to the Start Growers’ Supply Community Food Swap. The event is a community swap of homegrown produce and bartering is not only allowed but encouraged!! Start Growers Supply is at 1007 East Jefferson Street and the event is from 10 am-12 pm on the last day of July.
