Take a Look at Green Books
The highlighted event of this week involves a green theme tied to literature and movies. The Transition Louisville Book Club will host a book club meeting on Tuesday at Cifton Unitatrian on 2231 Payne Street. Each meeting focuses on books and films with a sustainable living theme starting at 7p.m.
Continuing on the Film theme, A FUEL Film screening and discussion workshop at St. Matthews Episcopal Church. The film will focus on oil use and industry in the U.S. with a discussion after. The event is on Saturday, August 21st at 10am. The Cultivating Connections group and the Church’s Green Team are hosting the event with Lunch and drink on your own basis.
Finally on Wednesday August 18th, A 10 am Meeting will be held with Louisville’s Air Pollution Control Board. The board will discuss issues dealing with pollution in front of a public audience at their office at 850 Barret Avenue, Board Room (1st Floor).
