The opening week of August brings three more events to promote green ways here in Louisville…
Have you been making excuses about wanting to ride your bicycle but not being able to? Maybe your unsure on proper techniques for riding in traffic? Now is your time to become a SUPERHERO!!!! Well, a bicycle superhero at least!! Learn the basics at Bicycle Superhero Basics hosted at Bicycling for Louisville (2132 Frankfort Avenue) on Saturday from 1:00-4:15 PM.
Maybe your more concerned about the Air Pollution and want to hear what’s being done about it? The strategy committee of the Air Pollution Control Board will convene on Tuesday morning at 9 inside the board’s conference room at 850 Barret Avenue. Among the items discussed will be an amendment to current standards.
And finally, on the sustainability front, it’s the first week of the month, so the first Wednesday meeting of the Louisville Sustainability Forum at 11:30. As always they will discuss ways to discuss make Louisville sustainable and how to bring along those changes. Heine Brothers will have the coffee for the event.
